Certificates

Students who successfully attend one of our International University Language Courses (German Intensive Courses) receive a certificate which includes the following:

Credits - according to the US educational system

In keeping up with the North American education system the University of Klagenfurt awards semester hours of credit according to the following scheme:

15 contact hours = 1 credit

Each course participant who needs credits for study or for re-certification purposes must inform the course director upon entering the course, in all cases allowing adequate time.

Note: ECTS-credits (European Credit Transfer System) are awarded for the attendence of the University Semester Courses "German as a foreign and second language" only.

Attendance certificates

In case too many lessons have been missed (min. attendance of 80%) or any other reason, for which a course certificate can't be issued, students receive an attendance certificate if requested.

*Grading for each of the language skills only, if minimum course length is 3 weeks. Certificates issued for 2-weeks-courses will only show the overall grade.
