Important Information for Exchange Students
(Erasmus and Joint Study Programs)
REGISTRATION
The International Office (BIB) has already reserved course places for all program students. As soon as you have received your student ID (=uni@klu.CARD) please come to the language course office (Service building, 2nd floor, room # K.2.04) to finally register for your course(s). Besides your student ID, please bring along the course fee(s) in cash. Registration hours: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00. Thursdays: 09:00-15:00.
(REDUCED) COURSE FEES PER SEMESTER
- General Language Courses (2x3 lessons* per week): EUR 110,00
(your course fee is paid by the International Office) - German as Commercial Language (3 lessons per week): EUR 65,00
- Conversation Courses (3 lessons per week): EUR 65,00
- Grammar Courses (3 lessons per week): EUR 65,00
- Phonetics (1 lesson per week): EUR 28,00
If the International Office will also cover course expenses in the winter term 2012/13 is beyond our knowledge. Pls. contact the incoming manager in charge.
PLACEMENT TEST
a) You're currently attending one of the intensive courses : NO placement test needed. We use the results of the intensive course to group you into the appropriate class(es). Scholarships for Joint Study are granted by the International office, please contact the Incoming Officer Mag. Elena Buffa )
b) If you're not in the intensive program and you're not an absolute beginner, you have to pass a placement test. Dates to choose from in the winter semester 2012/13 are Tuesday, 2nd of October (18:00) or Thursday, 4th of October (17:00). It is absolutely necessary to register BEFORE doing the placement test. We have to know if and when you will do the test. Simply come to the office or contact us by phone or email.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The last possible day to register is the day of the 2nd and last placement test, in the winter semester 2012/13 that will be Thursday,4th of October. Pls. note that after this date your place can no longer be reserved but will be used for other (non-program) students.
NO COURSE ATTENDANCE PLANNED
In case you do not wish to attend any of the courses of the University Course "German as a foreign and second language" please be kind enough to inform us briefly as in this case we use the place that was reserved for you for another student.
