Foreign Language Courses: Summer Academy

During the summer months we offer for everybody interested in learning a language (over the age of 17) the following language courses:

English in Austria	English: intermediate and advanced courses
Italiano in Austria	Italian: beginner, intermediate and advanced courses
Slovensko v Avstriji	Slovene: beginner and intermediate courses

General information:

Course intensity :	20 lessons ( 45 min. each) per week
Course length :	2 weeks (40 lessons) or 4 weeks (80 lessons)
Time-table:	Monday to Friday from 09:00-12:30 (4 lesson units per morning)
Class size :	6-12 participants per class
Registration deadline:	2 weeks prior to beginning of course
Contents:	Listening/speaking:	simple communications in everyday situations telephoning listening to/watching and understanding broadcasts listening to and understanding simple shortstories linguistic preparation for travels
	Writing/reading:	reading and understanding newspaper articles and magazines reading simple stories writing letters writing simple standard documents understanding and writing of simple texts concerning professional areas
	Cultural studies :	Information on the respective country: everyday life, art, culture, gastronomy, fashion etc.
	Grammar/phonetics:	Specific vocabulary-, grammar- and pronunciation training
Certificates:	Certificates at the level and according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching
Leisure time program:	The course participants are warmly invited to join the activities of our leisure time program. Our coordinators will be visiting you in your classes in order to inform about the activities planned.
